People making bank from virtual reality

I think it's nuts people are willing to pay for virtual items, let alone spend fortunes on virtual worlds. Then again, if you can spend a small fortune and actually turn it around to make a bigger fortune, by all means go for it.

Found out there are millionaires who made all their money from Second Life virtual real estate. In the virtual world of Entropia, a man made $335,000 from selling a building. A building that doesn't actually exist that sits on an asteroid that doesn't exist for over a third of a million in dollars that do exist.

Insanity...but for the sellers, more power to you.

  1. I think it's marketable. Social Media is big part of our lives. Some good examples that I for-see come from mediocre yet effect virtual building tools like http://www.minecraft.net/.

What we are experiencing is just the beginning of "Virtual Sales."

Smart investors see potential ... and as for the developers/sellers, "More power to you."

  4. I think that's pretty insane as well. Good for them I guess making all that money, but I don't know how I'd feel about myself if my career consisted of being a real estate agent for make believe houses...haha. But, maybe I need to get with the times.
